Mind your head - I Blame The Wine

Mind your head

I Blame the Wine is not really an encyclopedia for wines, neither a food and wine matching resource really; instead, it focuses on a, so called, wine lifestyle, which includes new wine experiences and tastes, highlighting the ones to buy or avoid. It is also about our lives around it – healthy and happy of course.

Mental Health

I believe that our mental health is of a paramount importance. Some people stress out too much and at the end it reflects in his bodies- starting from overeating and consumption of junk food, but also some serious heart and brain problems.
Yet enough about the gloomy business – I remember a year ago, when I first considered doing some exercises to improve my mental stability and possibly just relax better, I came across a person who said that the sky is blue. If you think about it, the sky is indeed blue, sometimes it is covered with clouds, sometimes slightly foggy, but with time (and no effort from your side at all!) you can see the blue skies again very soon (or rather soon).
This is not ‘positive thinking’ or wearing some pink shades, it is a fact. I was so blown away by this, so I have tried their meditation course. Without saying much about how better I felt, and how difficult it was for me to sit and just do nothing apart from just breathing, I want to recommend you try headspace.com.

Try meditation

You get 10 free guided meditations for free (and forgive me for expressing my personal feelings about that, but I loooove the voice!). They recommend to try and learn that skill of mediation, or shall I say, doing nothing for 10 minutes, but just concentrating on yourself and your breathing, every day. Yet I myself found it very challenging due to other commitments, work and just not being alone much. Though I agree, after I did that a few days  in a row, it started to feel much better and less pushing myself to sit still, and more enjoying that. It became my short retreat into the calm and somewhat unknown. I did that on my holidays to Dominican Republic and, oh boy, that felt awesome!

Before I let you go to try it, I must add that they have much more if you subscribe – I am currently totally hooked on the sleeping exercise, which I do in bed and completely switch off with my earplugs still on me when I wake up. They do a lovely work with the sessions. That is what I call a definite progress and a move towards well-being!
