My own wine tasting journey was a bit rough - I found it too snobbish, and full of terms I could not understand. After a few years of learning about wine and, this is a part where I should agree with some friends of mine, tasting many wines, I now find a lot of wine tasting reviews quite patronising. Some people tend to offload their views in a father-son manner, which doesn’t help to appreciate wines with ease, does it?
This approach of how not to conduct wine tasting is the basis for this guide: no snobbery, just a few facts and hopefully a lot of inspiration to buy wines and try this all for yourself!
With this short guide you can set up your own tasting and share your findings. Bon voyage! - Matching Wine and Food: a healthy way
This e-book is covering the basics how to approach wine and food pairing, contains 12 healthy recipes tailored to red, white, rose and sparkling wines and provides useful guidelines for you to consider.
Enjoy your wine tasting in a healthy way! - Wine Wars in Priorat (print to play wine game)
'Wine Wars in Priorat' is fun role-playing game for your dinner party or any other type of home entertainment.
It is based on the well-known ‘Mafia’ game you have probably played ages ago.
The game contains an instruction manual, 12 cards and a host card (instructions for a narrator). Download this PDF file, print it out on separate sheets of paper, cut the cards and you are good to go!
In Wine Wars card game you are to imagine yourselves as winemakers. This particular edition is tailored to a small, but mighty wine region of Priorat in north-east Spain. Apart from the winemaker(s), there are few more characters: 2 gangsters who are trying to spoil your wines and eliminate you from being a winemaker; distributor, who works and takes care of winemakers and their wines, so the final consumers get an attractive and flavoursome product; and finally, the Quality Control officer, who monitors the winemaking to make sure you are not only happy, but healthy as well!
