Spanish red wine expansion is definitely way on-going and apart from obvious powerhouses like Ribera Del Duero and Priorat, let’s not forget about Toro.
This particular bottle was made of 100% local tinto fino.
This is one of the top Toro wines. Honestly, I bought by price parameter, but it did not disappoint – you taste some really ripe and pronounced plums and black fruit, yet it is round and powerful.
Acidity is there, but it is hidden below the blanket of pleasantly ripe and smooth tannins and this amazing fruit content.
It was bought from The Wine Society and the service from this retailer did not disappoint either.
This wine is definitely something to look for, highly recommended for main meat dishes, it would go on par with rich sauces, so feast away!
